Edinburgh, Ocean Terminal Convenient Charging at Ocean Terminal, Edinburgh
Based at Ocean Terminal in Leith, this charging hub provides excellent access for visitors to Edinburgh’s waterfront. Enjoy the shops or a stroll along the docks while your EV charges. Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre boasts a number of on site amenities which include the likes of Puregym, Starbucks, Greggs, Costa, and Boots. Chris Richardson, divisional managing director of Ambassador Group, owners of Ocean Terminal, said: “We are creating a re-imagined Ocean Terminal to better suit the needs of both the local community and visitors. Sustainability is central to our thinking and having a Source hub on site, its first in the UK, perfectly aligns with our goals. “We know EV drivers are looking for efficient and reliable charging but also something to do whilst they charge, and the new centre will be a great place for them to spend that time.”

Dundee, Myrekirk Roundabout The most powerful charging hub in Scotland The Myrekirk Roundabout Eight of the bays will be powered by charge units of up to 300-kilowatts, capable of delivering up to 60 miles of range in just three minutes[1]. The hub was the first publicly accessible location anywhere in Scotland to feature charge units this powerful.
charging hub, opened by Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Fiona Hyslop on 11th July 2024, features a total of 24 ultra-rapid charging bays with a total capacity of almost two and a half megawatts, the equivalent of 68,311 gallons of petrol.
The remaining 16 bays features 150-kilowatt charge units, sufficient to deliver just under 8 miles of range per minute of charging to a standard family car[2]. Additionally, the project will feature a green roof populated with sedum plants to enhance the biodiversity of the site. Green roofs provide habitats for insects and birds and help to filter pollutants out of the air.
“
To reduce transport emissions and protect the climate, the Scottish Government is committed to phasing out the need for new petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2030. We can only do this if people have confidence in the availability of charging infrastructure – and that can only be achieved through private investment like what we can see here at Myrekirk” Fiona Hyslop Cabinet Secretary For Transport
